Markie Dans Bar is a traditional wee Scottish pub tucked away in the basement of Corran House near the heart of Oban on Scotland’s beautiful west coast. Our huge projector lit big screen is excellent for watching your team play and we have a huge range of Sky channels to choose from. Win, lose or draw, whether you’re celebrating or drowning your sorrows, our staff can look after you either way in a cosy and informal atmosphere.

We stage live music almost every weekend and are open every day of the year. While typically closing at 1am, on big occasions like New Year and Christmas we apply 2am and sometimes 3am licenses. If the late nightlife isn’t your thing, not to worry.. Our kitchen is open all year round serving our delicious homemade meals and children are welcome until 10pm, why not bring the whole family along?
Markie Dans Music Festival (June 28th - June 30th 2024!!!) is quickly becoming one of the most popular live music events on Scotland’s calendar. Running annually on the last weekend in June there’s never been a better excuse to get away and experience a brilliant west coast weekend. While featuring established acts, we also give sets to young up-and-coming bands to get their performance out there and help them make a name for themselves. We serve a select few pub favourite meals during festival weekend (12pm-9pm) so that once you’re in, you don’t need to leave! We’re constantly looking for new ideas to expand the event. We even stock branded clothing for sale over the bar so that you don’t forget your “Markie’s Music Fest” experience! Every year has been more successful than the last, entry to see all the bands is totally free, we’ll even clothe and feed you!
Our patio beer garden offers some of the most stunning views in the country. Our patio is fully licensed until 10pm where you can come and enjoy the stunning vistas across Oban bay. Sit with your favourite drink, an old pal and a homecooked bite to eat here at Markie Dans bar. Soak it all in and create some real Highland holiday memories that will last a lifetime!
